The words that inspire me

My articles are born this way: from a feeling, from a thought that arises as I live, as I observe, as I remember. They are born out of my experience and the questions I keep carrying within me.

They are never "theoretical" texts,I never want them to be, we are already full of information. I write from my experience, from my personal journey and my inner search inspired also by others of course.

And yet, every time I write, I feel the need to expand my perspective.
To connect with those who, before me, have felt the same call.
I like this part of the process — and I won’t deny that there’s also a need for confirmation in it.
It’s something worth exploring, one day.
But for now, I embrace the beauty in the way I move through this..

In each of my articles you will find quotes, references to books, articles I will quote psychologists, philosophers, poets, ancient and contemporary , figures who, with their words, have left a mark and helped me to go deeper.

Because to me, words are instruments of discovery.
Phrases that strike a chord, that resonate deep within, that open new paths — they deserve to be brought into the light.
They deserve to be shared.

Bernard of Chartres said that we are like dwarfs sitting on the shoulders of giants, so that we can see more of them and farther, not because we have sharper sight or greater stature, but because we are lifted up by their greatness.

I was not born a reader. I did not immediately have this relationship with reading. I still remember perfectly when it all started: I was 15 years old, I had just arrived in Italy, and a classmate of mine-thank you Silvia-gifted me a book: Siddhartha, by Hermann Hesse. That gesture, that story, ignited something. Since then I have never stopped looking between the pages, between the lines, between the words of others, for something that could also speak about me. Because it is so, we understand each other only in confrontation with others.

In 2023 I discovered bibliotherapy by taking a very nice course, and since then I have been reading even more consciously.

Books have become tools, allies, lenses through which to look at my interiority and that of others.

But that's-that's another story. We will talk more about it.

For now, know that if you read my articles, you will also always find a short list of sources of inspiration, designed for those who, like me, like to go deeper. You don't need to read everything, doing so is nice and useful but sometimes all it takes is one page, one sentence that speaks to us at the right time.

And if even one of these references can help you understand something more about yourself, then my intent will have already been achieved.
