01.The door of self

Once upon a time there was a village that had no name, because no one there had time for questions.

People ran around all day, looking for ready answers and polished goals like medals.
Only one house, down the red stone path, was different: it had a door made entirely of mirror.

Everyone avoided it, saying:

"It reflects what you don't want to see."

One day, Lira — a quiet girl with eyes full of wind — found a forgotten piece of paper at the foot of a tree.

“Know yourself, and you will see yourself everywhere.”
The words slipped into her heart like a seed — and quietly began to grow.

That night, Lira approached the House of Mystery.
The mirror-door shimmered, as if it had been waiting for her.
The moment she laid her hand upon it, it opened.
And what she saw was not a room... but a world.

It was a landscape that changed with every step: a room of fog that followed her wherever she went.
Then, a hallway full of mirrors - some made her look huge, some tiny, some simply ... invisible.
Each image made her uncomfortable.
But Lira did not turn around.

She crossed a paper bridge that creaked beneath unspoken thoughts.
She descended stairs draped in unanswered questions.
And at last, she arrived in a silent garden — where only one plant grew.

It was an open seed, with transparent leaves.
Beside it, an old figure sat upon a rounded stone.
It had no face — only a voice:

"You went through what you were ready to look at.
You don't find answers here. You find space to listen to yourself."

Lira didn’t understand at first.
But she felt a warmth in her chest — as if a part of her had finally come home to itself.

When she returned to the village, nothing had changed...yet, she saw everything with different eyes.

She had no answers.
But she had a compass.
And whenever she felt lost, she returned to the Door of Self — which now lived within her.

Which part of you is quietly waiting to be seen?

This tale is inspired by the very first step of any true change: looking within.
It is dedicated to those who have the courage to enter the fog of their own emotions, and to rediscover themselves — even if only a little at a time.
It is a story for those who seek a truth that doesn’t shout, but whispers.
